Day 1 Sunday 15 August 2021                                    Dinner
We pick you up from home this morning and make our way north along the M1 motorway towards Port Macquarie. Our first stop today is for lunch at your own cost in the Town of Buladelah. After lunch we continue north to arrive at Vickers Fudge and Gifts for a talk and tasting of the Fudge and Lollies. The confectionary products are made using traditional recipes which have stood the test of time. Next, we are off to our accommodation where we will stay for the next three nights. After check in there will be time to freshen up before dinner in the On the Edge Restaurant which overlooks the picturesque Hastings River. Waters Edge Port Macquarie

Day 2 Monday 16 August 2021                          Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Port Macquarie’s central business district has two shopping centres, many speciality stores, a marina, and the starting point for the 9km coastal walk. A scenic walking trail that goes from Westport Park, through the Port Macquarie CBD to Tacking Point Lighthouse. As the average temperature for August is 20 degrees, it is perfect weather for walking. After breakfast in the restaurant we are joined by a Local Guide for a Driving Guided Tour of Port Macquarie Township. We are dropped off at the Port Macquarie Museum where we see a Historical venue depicting life through themed displays beginning with early European settlers. There are over 2,000 objects on display at any one time. We then have a short drive to the Marina where we join Port Adventure Cruises for a three hour cruise on the Hastings River. Whilst on the cruise we will enjoy a scrumptious lunch, including dessert. The cruise is packed with entertainment including a Bingo segment, Name that Tune, Sing a long, Trivia and great fun. Now it is Free Time for shopping or perhaps a nap before dinner.

Day 3 Tuesday 17 August 2021              Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Today we visit Trial Bay Old POW Gaol, It is a heritage-listed former public works prison and internment camp during World War One. Step back in time on a self-guided tour of the gaol, soak up the history and the amazing coastal view that surround it. On the inside and outside of the Gaol will be an Exhibition called Sculpture in the Gaol. Now we are off to lunch at Riccardo’s Tomatoes, a tour and time to pick strawberries and to look around the gift shop before going to the Billabong Zoo Koala and Wildlife Park. The Award Winning Park allows you to get up close, pat, stroke, feed, hold, hear and see over 80 species of animals, reptiles and birds. We will see not only koalas but also cheetahs, red pandas, and meerkats to name just a few.
