Day 1 Sunday 26 July 2020 Home to Port Macquarie
Dinner
We pick you up this morning and travel north along the M1 towards our first night at Port Macquarie. We enjoy lunch at our own cost along the way. After lunch we continue north to arrive late in the afternoon at our first night’s accommodation and check in prior to dinner in the Hotel’s On The Edge Restaurant. Waters Edge Port Macquarie
Day 2 Monday 27 July 2020 Port Macquarie to Ballina
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Today after breakfast we continue our drive north stopping at the Coffs Harbour Butterfly House for morning tea and a guided tour. The Butterfly House consists of a fully enclosed glasshouse that is the home for 350-400 live Australian butterflies. Strolling amongst these beautiful creatures, we can experience the life-cycle of the butterfly, spend time with the informative guide and may have butterflies land on us. After a lovely morning tea we hop back on the coach
we continue our tour to arrive for lunch at the Ulmurra Hotel. This afternoon we follow the Clarence River via Maclean and arrive in Yamba where we take the small ferry from Yamba Jetty across the Clarence River to Iluka. Our coach will meet us on the other side and from here we drive to Ballina for a brief tour around town and then check into our Hotel for the next three nights and have time to freshen up prior to dinner Quality Hotel Ballina
Day 3 Monday 28 July 2020 Tweed River Cruise
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After we enjoy breakfast and some time to take in the surrounds we depart on our days touring. Heading north we travel north to Tubulgum where we experience the natural beauty of the Tweed Valley on our two-and-a-half-hour Tweed River Lunch Cruise. Glide slowly upstream whilst taking in the scenic river, mountain and rainforest views.
Then enjoy a delicious seafood lunch (non-seafood options available). Next we have an appointment at Zentfelds Coffee where we take a short tour of the coffee plantation and see the coffee beans being roasted and then we can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee before we slowly make our way back to Ballina, enjoying coastal and orchard views on the return trip before dinner back at the Hotel.
